Cesi Jewelry / Art

Cesi Hernandez is a graduate from the University of Oregon. Her interest in metalsmithing became evident during her introduction class in the winter of 2020. In 2023, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. Working primarily in wire, Cesi wants to create a visible relationship between jewelry, emotion, and adorning the body through floral work.

 I create wearable work that explores intimacy and human connection within our environment. My work is based on natural forms that are delicate and flourish parts of the body that reflect an emotional response. Each piece examines different kinds of communication between people, from hands reaching out to one another, to ornamental forms concealing or amplifying an emotional response of the wearer.
